Biographical Sketch

Bob Winget is the Principal of Toolbox Conference Management (ToolboxCM). He earned a Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Bowling Green State University (BGSU). He has done postgraduate studies in Mexico and the Middle East. He graduated with honors from BGSU and was among the top 5% of his peers nationwide, earning him an appointment in the federal government as a Presidential Management Intern. His work in the federal government included assignments in the Administration for Native Americans where he was a Program Analyst, developing social and economic development strategies for Indian tribes and Native American organizations. He did postgraduate studies in telecommunications and information systems and was appointed Senior Systems Programmer for the Office of Human Development Services. He held senior technical and management positions at the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the US State Department (State), and NASA Headquarters. In these agencies he led project teams in the development of international communications systems for USAID and State. He was assigned to temporary duty in Egypt, Kenya, and Jordan, providing technical assistance and systems analysis to the USAID missions in Cairo and Nairobi and the Jordanian Department of Statistics in Amman. He and his team developed the NASA Headquarters information resource management plans and configuration management systems.

During his tenure in the federal government, he and his wife Karen established Fine Point Editorial Services (FPES). FPES publishes scientific journals, conference proceedings, and indexes for textbooks and trade books. These proceedings publishing efforts evolved into support for conferences. Toolbox Conference Management has its roots in those efforts. ToolboxCM has provided planning, publishing and support services for conferences in the US in Eugene, Knoxville, Fairbanks, San Jose, Indian Wells, San Diego, Los Angeles, Columbus, Minneapolis, New York City, Charlotte, Denver, Princeton, Austin, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Seattle, and overseas in Bologna, Montrieux, Barcelona, Stuttgart, Noordwijk, Manchester, Lugano, Helsinki, and Edinburgh.

Bob is an accomplished singer and has performed as soloist and chorus member with a number of choral organizations. While in the Washington, DC area, Bob sang with the Choral Arts Society of Washington including regular performances at the Kennedy Center and also at Boston Symphony Hall and Carnegie Hall in New York.
